FAQs The campsite is a truly unique woodland space with a sandy dancefloor, its located approximately 20 miles from Cardiff & just a 15 min walk from the coast & nearest sandy beach. This private campsite / event space allows everyone attending to fully immerse themselves within the natural environment. There are 100 of acres of truly stunning woodland for everyone to explore. The location is kept secret and will be announced to ticketholders in an email one week before the event. PLEASE RESPECT THIS SPACE AND LEAVE NO TRACE! We ask that all patrons take their rubbish away with them. Our food & drink traders do not use any single use plastic and all food packaging served is fully compostable. If you are travelling by public transport the nearest mainline train station is Bridgend which is approximately a 15 min taxi away! Please lift share when-ever possible. Important Information - Over 18's only *(we operate a challenge 25 scheme so if you are lucky enough to look younger than 25 please bring some photo ID) - Campervans only *(no caravans allowed on site) your must contact The Beat Goes On.... if you have a large vehicle as we may not be able to accommodate due to the turning circle of the entry gate. Campervans remain static once parked. - Gate opening hours Midday Friday 26th May 2023 until 22:00 Friday 26th May 2023 (gates are locked overnight with no movement of campervans. Sat Gate opening times 10:00 until 14:00 (gates are then locked overnight All ticket holders must depart by midday Monday 29th May 2023. - No glass on site - No open fires or BBQs are allowed these are forbidden for safety reasons, camping stoves are allowed (please raise all camp stoves off the ground) - The campsite is situated within a woodland location on sand so effectively its an all weather site that is free of mud and puddles! - All campers need to be self-sufficient for the duration of the weekend. This is a camping weekend with music & artistic performance provided as entertainment, the nearest shop is a large 24 hour Tesco approximately 3 miles away (not within walking distance) - Disabled access: The site welcomes wheelchairs although it should be understood by all guests that this campsite is located within a woodland setting with uneven ground, gravel tracks and areas of open sand , therefore some areas are not easily accessible to wheelchairs or those guests with walking disabilities. - The site provides recycling facilities, but as this campsite is located within a nature reserve we encourage everyone attending to leave no trace and take their rubbish home with them. - There is no WIFI and mobile phone reception is non-existent you are effectively off-grid for the whole weekend - We run a licenced bar at The Beat Goes.... Inn we accept all major cards, please check chalk board for opening hours. - To support the ethos of our event we encourage everyone to reduce the use of single use plastics. Therefore our bar and street food stalls use only reusable cups or compostable packaging to serve our guests. - Flushing toilets and showers are provided on the campsite (free of charge) - No generators or sound-systems to be brought on site - Drinking water taps are clearly marked in several locations around the campsite - Printed tickets are required for entry, location & directions will be emailed one week before the event, noting there is no wi-fi on site so ensure you take a photo or bring printed copy of the ticket with you. - Please do not bring, pets, fireworks, glass containers, potential weapons, laser equipment, including laser pens. - Any anti-social or illegal behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in you being asked to leave the campsite. - As a condition of sale, the ticket holder consents to being filmed, photographed, and recorded for television, feature films, radio, webcast, and other public broadcast and/or for any video/DVD or by onsite CCTV cameras and recordings for safety and security purposes. - 24 Hour Security present - Please see our T&C *(listed below) 1 TERMS & CONDITIONS 1.1 In order to facilitate the security, safety and comfort of all guests, the Organisers and Premises Licence Holder reserve the right to refuse admission or evict from site. 1.2 No admission without a valid e-ticket & ID (Over 18 years only). 1.3 All tickets are non-refundable except if The Beat Goes On…. camping weekend is cancelled. We shall only be required to refund the face value of the ticket *(minus booking fees) where the camping weekend is cancelled or postponed before it is started, or as required by applicable law. Resale tickets only become available when the event has sold out, all re-sale tickets need to be approved by the event organiser. The option for re-sale will cease on the 1st May 2023. 1.4 In light of the COVID 19 pandemic, you understand that there are risks associated with attending any outdoor gathering (including the Camping weekend). We will take reasonable steps to comply with any relevant guidelines intended to reduce the spread of COVID 19, we cannot be held responsible for the behaviour or health of other Camping weekend attendees and cannot effectively ensure that no attendees at the Camping weekend will have COVID-19. Accordingly, we will not be responsible if you catch COVID-19 at the Camping weekend or for any illness or death of any Camping weekend attendees caused by COVID 19. 1.5 You understand and accept that you will be attending the Camping weekend and using any facilities on-site at your own risk. 1.6 To help us to reduce the spread of COVID 19, we ask that you follow all government guidelines in place at the time of our event. 1.7 We reserve the right to make alterations to the time, date, duration, and venue of the camping weekend in the event of unforeseen or other circumstances, including (but without limitation) Force Majeure, safety and security concerns or decisions from authorised persons or other competent authority. 1.8 Unless otherwise agreed at our sole discretion, a ticket will not be exchanged or refunded if: • after the camping weekend has started, it is stopped for any reason and is not completed. • on any day of the camping weekend, the start time is delayed for any reason. • the start time (but not the date) of the camping weekend changes after the date the ticket was purchased; or • the ticket is used for entry into the camping weekend 1.9 Tickets will be scanned upon entry; once a barcode has been scanned and swapped for a wristband it cannot be used again. 1.10 The first scanned ticket to arrive at the event will be allowed entry; any subsequent ticket with the same barcode will be denied access. Please treat your ticket as you would cash, the organisers accept no responsibility or liability for any inconvenience caused by the unauthorised duplication of a ticket. Do not post images of your barcode on social media. 1.11 Admission is at the ticket holder’s own risk. The Organisers and Premises Licence Holder will not be held liable for any loss, injuries or damages sustained at the event including damage, theft or losses to property and motor vehicles if the cause is due to the negligence of the ticket holder or the unforeseeable actions of other patrons or third parties. 1.12 Eventbrite are our only authorised ticket agent. Do not buy tickets from other third-party sources, as we cannot guarantee entry or ensure these tickets are genuine. Invalid or duplicate barcodes will not be allowed entry into The Beat Goes On…. camping site. 1.13 The name on your ticket must match your ID. After initial purchase, the ticket holder name may be updated a maximum of two times. If you purchase a ticket from a friend, you must ensure that they update the name on the ticket. Tickets without a genuine name will not be allowed entry. 1.14 If you wish to sell your camping weekend entry ticket you can do so by contacting the Event Organiser. 1.15 Do not sell your ticket via any other platform or you will be at risk of invalidating the ticket. 1.16 Wristbands removed from the wrist, tampered with, lost, or missing will be rendered invalid and will not be replaced. Those without valid wristbands will be removed from the site. All wristbands issued by The Beat Goes On…. remain the property of The Beat Goes On…. until 10:00 Monday 29th May 2022. 2.0 GATE SEARCHES AND CONFISCATED ITEMS 2.1 The Beat Goes On…. runs a rigorous search operation at the gates, and you should expect to be searched on entry. This may include clothing/bag searches at the gates, onsite or when leaving. The Beat Goes On…. Has a zero drugs policy regarding the possession, use or sale of illegal drugs. This includes Nitrous Oxide and all other products banned under the New Psychoactive Substances Act 2016. 2.2 Prescribed medication should be declared before entering the search and entry points. Medicine should be in its original packaging and the ticket holder must bring a copy of their prescription in their own name. 2.3 Additional prohibited items include: knives (including locking knives); sound systems; glass bottles fireworks; explosives; BBQs; smoke and gas canisters; air horns; flares; weapons or potential weapons; laser devices; unofficial drones and UAVs; sky lanterns; paraffin lamps, candles, generators, chemical toilets (except where fixed within live in vehicles), unofficial hi-visibility clothing/tabards, open bottles of any kind of liquid that can be consumed. Chemical toilets are not to be emptied at the campsite. 2.4 This list is not exhaustive, The Beat Goes on reserves the right to confiscate any potentially harmful items or substances at our discretion. Please be aware that work tools, ladders, 2-way radios etc can be deemed a potential security breach and we reserve the right to confiscate such items on entry to the car parks or camping weekend gates. Please check your vehicle before packing and remove any items that can present a safety or security risk. 2.5 E-cigarettes are allowed. E-cigarette liquid is only allowed if it is sealed and easily identifiable. If it can’t be identified or the seal is broken, it will be confiscated. 2.6 Camping stoves using small, disposable gas canisters are permitted. Please only bring enough for your needs over the weekend. Excessive quantities may be confiscated. In the event of very hot weather / dry ground conditions we reserve the right to prohibit the use of camping stoves for safety reasons. 2.7 Signs or materials displaying discriminatory, derogatory, or offensive messages, slogans or images are not permitted. 3.0 AGE POLICY 3.1 We are an over 18 event Challenge 25 operates on all gates as well as our bar. If you have purchased a ticket and are fortunate enough to look under the age of 25, you will be required to provide ID that proves your age. If you cannot provide ID that is valid and in date, you will be refused entry into the camping weekend site. 3.2 Accepted ID includes: photographic driving license, proof of age card with PASS hologram or a passport. Photocopies will not be accepted. 4.0 GENERAL 4.1 The artist and performer line-up and all billed attractions are subject to change at any time without notice. 4.2 Strictly no trading or other commercial activity by any ticket holder will be allowed on the camping weekend site without the organiser’s prior written consent. 4.3 The Beat Goes On.... accepts no responsibility for goods or services purchased from third party traders. 4.4 As a condition of sale, the ticket holder consents to being filmed, photographed, and recorded for television, feature films, radio, webcast, and other public broadcast and/or for any video/DVD or by onsite CCTV cameras and recordings for safety and security purposes. 4.5 Tickets cannot be used as part of any marketing, media, or sales promotion whether commercial or non-commercial without prior written permission of the event organisers. 4.6 The licence states that no glass is to be brought onto site for safety reasons. No opened bottles can be brought on to site – any opened bottles will be confiscated on entry to the camping weekend. 4.7 Please use bins and recycling points provided. Respect The Place and Leave No Trace 4.8 Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated, anyone found acting in such a way will be immediately ejected without refund. 4.9 For the safety of yourself and others it is forbidden to access areas that are restricted. This includes climbing, trees, fences, stages, roofs and other apparatus or constructions. If you are caught doing this, you will be ejected from the camping weekend without refund or compensation. 4.10 Strictly no animals (except for assistance dogs) will be allowed on the site. Assistance dogs must be declared in advance to the access team who, once approved, will provide an authorisation letter to be shown on the search and entry points. 4.11 Warning: exposure to loud and excessive music may be damaging to your hearing. Pyrotechnics, lasers, smoke machines, strobe lighting and special effects will take place during the weekend. 5.0 CAMPERVANS 5.1 Each person in the campervan must have a valid weekend Entry Ticket. 5.2 Drivers of towing vehicles will only be allowed entry with a valid Camping weekend Entry Ticket. 5.3 Once your vehicle is in place, it must remain static. Anyone found moving a vehicle may be evicted from site. 5.4 Stewards will park you in position, please follow their direction and keep fire lanes always clear. 5.5 No trading is permitted from caravans or camper vans. 5.6 No sound systems are to be operated in the Campervan Field. Anyone found operating such systems may be evicted. 5.7 All litter must be cleared from your pitch and put into bins provided or taken home with you. 5.8 Cars are not deemed as live-in vehicles. Only converted live-in vans, campervans, caravans, or trailer tents are classed as live-in vehicles. 5.9 There is no electrical hook up and generators are not permitted on site. 5.10 Smaller refillable gas bottles are permitted where these comply with applicable gas safety regulations and fire safety. Small travel camping gas stoves (handheld disposable cylinder type) are permitted, please ensure all camping stoves are lifted off the ground so as not to cause any fire risk on the forest floor. 6.0 CAR PARKING 6.1 Car Parking passes need to be purchased in advance of the event. The car park is a 10 minute walk from the campsite please come prepared. 6.2 Vehicles are parked entirely at the owner's risk. The Beat Goes On.... will not be held liable for any loss or damage howsoever caused. 6.3 Any vehicle left on site after the camping weekend has ended on Monday 29th May 2022 may be removed and scrapped. All reasonable efforts will be made by The Beat Goes On.... to locate the owner and remove the vehicle before this takes place. 7.0 LOST PROPERTY 7.1 Lost and Found property is being managed on site at the Information point / Bar. Please report all lost items here as soon as you can and check here before leaving site to be reunited with your property if found during the event. All found property should be handed into the Info Point / Bar. 7.2 Any found items will be kept by The Beat Goes On.... Lost Property team for 2 weeks after the camping weekend. After this point, all items will be donated to charity or disposed of safely/securely. All reasonable efforts will be made to reunite the lost item with its owner before this takes place. 8.0 Terms & Conditions 8.1 The Beat Goes On.... reserves the right to add to or amend these Terms from time to time.
